about this photographer...
Peter Sumner (born Peter Sumner Bratt 1950)
My roots go back to a small village in upstate New York in the 50's. A lot has transpired over the years but now I'm retired and enjoy with a passion what's become my favorite hobby, photography.
I've never been a paid professional but have shot pictures, when I had the time, for the last 46 years. Yes, I do remember the film days and processing black and white photos in the bathroom of my 10 by 50 mobile home while attending the University of Oklahoma.
I enjoyed the art of Falconry for seven years (flying Red Tail Hawks), fished for Salmon and Steelhead both with rod and fly rod, bird hunted with the love of my life "Cearsar" the Brittany, but always had a camera close by.
I retired from the Department of Education, in Olympia, Wa.in 2010, and am now residing in Boise, Idaho. I enjoy access from Boise to places such as Yellowstone National Park, Glacier National Park, Utah's fantastic photo opportunities and of course Idaho's Sawtooth range, Owyhees and famous rivers like the Henry's Fork .
It's a thrill knowing my images are displayed in homes and businesses in Idaho and many other states in the country .
Thanks for dropping by my site. I appreciate your time and your business.
:)
